GameRigs, EA and Crytek Connect to Bring Gamers the Crysis Wars Weekend Blitz Tournament

Santa Ana, CA (October 2, 2008) -- In partnership with EA, and Crytek, GameRigs announced the sponsorship of a Crysis Wars Weekend Blitz. Today. Over the weeksend (Friday, Oct 10th at 8:00 pm GMT - Monday, Oct 13th at 9:00 am GMT) gamers can download the Crysis Wars game, play for free and compete to win a fantastic lineup of prizes form GameRigs and partners.

The details for the weekend tournament are as follows:

Welcome to the Crysis Wars Weekend Blitz (4v4 League) brought to you by GameRigs. You have played for fun, played to improve, now compete to win!

Here you will compete to show your gaming might over the weekend to win some amazing prizes from EA, GameRigs, NVIDIA, Crucial, Tritton and CaseAce!

Jointly, we have put together some of the best competitive gaming out there… and have made it simple and fun to find competitors, report your results, and view your rankings.

Here are the easy steps:

1. Create an Account in the GameRigs Gaming Network Forums
2. Create an account on ClanWars site and join the Crysis Warhead League.
3. Create a team (clan) of 4 players, including you. Or you can join another clan that is looking for players.
4. Select a competitive team and set up location for matches using the one of the 12 Crysis Wars Blitz competitive servers listed below
5. The losing clan is responsible for reporting the results of the matches.

Details

• Crysis Wars Weekend Blitz starts on Friday, Oct 10th at 8:00 pm GMT and ends on Monday, Oct 13th at 9:00 am GMT. The tournament servers will be available during this time.
• The Clanwars Crysis Warhead league reporting system will available until Tuesday, Oct 14th @ 8:00 pm GMT. All matches must be reported to Clanwars by this deadline.
• The winning team (clan) and one lucky winner will be officially announced on the GameRigs site and prizes will be sent out.

Prizes

• Each member of the winning team (clan), up to 4 players, will receive a NVIDIA GeForce-based video card and a Case Ace GearGrip G2 Carrying Harness
• One out of the four members of the winning team will be randomly chosen to receive a Crucial Ballistix 4GB DDR2 Memory Kit and a Tritton AXPC True 5.1 surround sound gaming headset.
